Sal brings skills in Team Building, having built regional and National teams, and has extensive relationships across alliances, technology, and VAR businesses. In today’s world, you need leaders who can wear many hats and pivot quickly with the business's needs. Sal is skilled at managing teams through the chaos of the technology markets. His hard skills are in Cloud Computing, Hybrid Cloud, Server, Storage, and Networking. He also has SaaS experience and a myriad of other product knowledge with an understanding of the markets.
Sal most recently spent 10 years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise in various key positions. He was a successful front-line sales manager in the storage business for the MidAtlantic and Northeast territories. He was then promoted to the Director of Storage role in the NY metro territory, followed by 3 years of managing account managers in the Commercial and Financial space. He was awarded HPE’s Winner's summit for 2 of the first 5 years. Sal then took on more National roles, managing the DXC relationship, and was then awarded the position of Director of US Alliances managing teams calling on Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, DXC, Cap Gemini, and the I6 accounts. His most recent position was as the Director of Storage Channels for North America.
Before joining HPE, he spent 2 years at Xiotech as a leader for the Northeast and was instrumental in launching the company’s ISE product line. Sal had Profit and Loss responsibility for sales and presales teams. He also spent 17 years at MTI Technology as VP of Sales for the East, where he had P& L for Sales, Presales, and Consulting sales. While at MTI, he was a pioneer in the SAN, NAS, and data management environments. He was part of a successful IPO, unprecedented growth, and then a complete business transformation.
Prior to joining MTI, Sal worked for EMC after graduating from Providence College with a degree in Business Management. Sal is a founding member of the Asbury Park program board for Covenant House and is a multi-year co-Chair of their golf outing. Sal resides in Long Branch, NJ, with his wife Maria, and together they have five adult children.
